Everything you need to know about attending an Open Morning or tour at Leigh Primary School

What happens during an open morning visit?

Headteacher presentation - We begin in Jessica's Hall on open days where Mrs Halfhide and Joanne Shobbrook (Co-Headteachers) will tell you all about how we support children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. There will be tea, coffee and biscuits - it is often cooler in the Autumn Term! 

Ask your Questions - Members of our school community  will be there to talk and ask questions after the talk. These include the headteachers, the Reception teacher, Governors and PTA members. It varies as to who is available from the community.

Tour the School with our Year 6 pupils - It is lovely for you to see the eyes through those of our pupils who know it best. They will take you on varying routes around the school to see all classes. Please ask them any questions and if they do not know the answer one of the adults you see on the way will. At the end of your tour the children take you to Reception and the Headteachers remain in the school hall in case you have any further questions at the end.

What happens on a private tour?

Private tours can be slightly different in format dependent upon the day they happen. The headteacher will meet you and have a discussion about the school and the parent is given the open to have the presentation delivered more informally in the school office. We can discuss and answer any questions you have at this time.

Dependent upon the Year 6 timetable we will steal a couple of students to give you a tour of the school. At the end they bring you back to the Headteacher's office in case you have any further questions.

Can children come along?

Absolutely, children are always welcome to open days and tours but this is a choice for you.

You can find as on: The Green, Tonbridge, Leigh Primary School, TN11 8QP, just off the Leigh Village High Street.

Is parking available?

Parking is free on the road around the Village Green. There is also off road parking next to Jessica's Hall (School Hall) on a road called Crandalls which is also free.
